The brand new Spatz "Aero Sokz" were developed especially to meet the requirements of our partner team Alpecin-Fenix and the two-time Olympic triathlon champion.
In a sport where every second (and every watt) counts, there can be no compromise when it comes to aerodynamic products.
Cut to a UCI compliant length, the "Aero Sokz" offer an aerodynamic advantage in an incredibly stylish package. We specified a ribbed lycra leg section to help keep the air attached to the leg for as long as possible. The seam is hidden behind the leg where it doesn't affect the airflow as it leaves the legs.
Unlike other manufacturers, we have added two different types of clips on the top of the leg to help keep the socks in place on different sized legs. First, we have a silicone clip woven into the fabric of the sock itself, which adds grip and elasticity and allows for a very fine fit against the skin. In addition, we have added a special silicone band (at the bottom) around the entire circumference of the leg to hold the sock in place. To our knowledge, no other manufacturer has gone to these extremes to create a good fit.
The foot section of the "Aero Sokz" is beautifully designed to provide support, temperature regulation and moisture wicking. We tested them on 6 hour rides and are amazed at how comfortable these socks are.
The bright white fabric with a subtle gray logo keeps the aesthetic crisp, clean and classy and complements any kit and bike.
